In 33 AD our Lord founded His ONE CHURCH which was later called CATHOLIC which means for the WHOLE or for ALL, universal. The same church having the same faith and gospel, the same Lord and God is brought by the Apostles to the lost house of Israel and to St Paul to the Gentile nations. The church is APOSTOLIC for she exist and the faith professed is from the Apostle, in the apostolic time. The church is Apostolic for the authority given by the Lord to them is transferred to the Apostles - AS THE FATHER SENT ME SO I SENT YOU...the apostles are our sure link to the teachings of the Lord. And the church is HOLY for he the founder is holy. So we have four marks of the church. Marks that you can use to test if a church is true and is connected to the true Church. These marks are ONE, HOLY, CATHOLIC and APOSTOLIC.
The church in the beginning is undivided but along the path of history, the church was divided or say branched into two - the EAST and the WEST. Below is a timeline produced or drawn by the EAST camp and when you see the WEST camp it will be the reverse - BUT THE WEST DOES NOT DENY THAT THE EAST INDEED IS TRUE CHURCH (although in their term the East is heretic -well that is political).
The Lord said to the 12 Apostles - I AM THE VINE YOU ARE THE BRANCHES... the Apostles are branches of one true vine which is the Lord. If they are all branches then why the Pope of Rome insist that he is the superior and supreme among other branches? Note: this is not true anymore today but still true to some RCC faithful who insist they should be on top of the world.
Nowhere in the bible can you see that Apostle Peter is at the center and the Lord Christ is at the sideline. Even in Revelations, every Apostles are seated and Christ is at the center. Saint Peter was not ever called Pope in his lifetime, he would even denounced the title because he heard the Lord said "Do not call anyone on earth your father [papa or pope] for you have only one Father, the one in heaven!" this he said to the Apostles - because they are brothers to each other and not Peter a father to the other eleven.
There are five Patriarchates in the early church. The mother church that is in Jerusalem, in Alexandria, in Antioch, in Constantinople and in Rome. It should be called the CATHOLIC CHURCH IN ROME, the Catholic Church in Alexandria, but along the history, it was called by their location. You can see on the illustration that it was Rome who broke his line from the church but she claimed she's not.. How is it possible that ONE which is Rome was left by the FOUR which are Antioch, Jerusalem, Alexandria and Constantinople?
History is history, we cannot change it but we can have a better understanding of the events if we try to see the same thing on different point of references and views and with an open mind.
History tells us that RCC is only one of the Churches with valid apostolic line of succession. RCC cannot and should not claim that she alone is the one true holy and catholic. The imperial Rome was only made Christian in the time of Emperor Constantine in 300 AD which means that for the past three centuries, Rome was a severe persecutor and murderer of Christians. Roman soldiers nailed the Jewish Lord on the Cross. Roman Church murdered million of Orthodox Christians in Russia because they profess the true and original Nicene creed. Roman Church sexually abused million of children worldwide. Pope Paul VI admitted that Satan entered the Roman church and his smoke reaches the sanctuary -- since then he was not seen left the place.
RCC today is not the true RCC. The true RCC was the one before the Vatican II in 1960s. That was the same period our Beloved Ingkong came and appeared to our Patriarch John.
