GOD IS A FARMER

Life begets life while death ends in itself. A nation that nurtures life lives a happy fulfilling life. Nurturing life means sustaining the God's creation and natural resources allocated by God to a nation and its people. It means taking care of the trees that bears fruits, taking care of the plants that provides medicines, taking care of the rivers and bodies of water that sustains the ecology of the plant life. Taking care of the plants, forests, and trees is taking care of the animals that feeds on them and ultimately taking care of our own very human existence. Having our existence secured and assured we can move sustain-ably towards our self realization.
God is a farmer and agriculturist remember? He planted trees in a garden whom he also prepared. Originally, man is supposed to be vegetarian - he is to eat the produce of the plants and trees in the garden. God even showed to John the Evangelist a tree in the paradise where it gives medicinal fruits in every month of the year which is the panacea of all human affliction - emotionally, mentally and physically.
It is for this reason I believe that God made the Philippines an agricultural nation. Each of the 7,100 islands is unique to each other where different crops can be produced in particular month or season of the year. You can imagine that it can be possible to have 7,100 types of crops as well which can be exported to the world increasing our GDP.
Aside from this the Lord himself has associated himself with the fishermen and he lived and grew with a carpenter. It just mean that the Lord glorifies and uphold the value and importance of labor, of physical labor coupled with mental and heartfelt dedication to the craft. We will notice again that the Philippines is blessed with great body of water, we have been showered with fresh rainwater almost half of the year. We have rivers, lakes, waterfalls, springs, and seas all around the 7,100 islands. It just mean that the Filipinoes have access to the rich marine life which can make us number one exporter of different species of edible fish and marine produce. If one will recall, it was from the mouth of a fish where Peter and the Lord took their tax money so they can pay the tax collector. What does that mean to us? It just mean that the fish of the seas and river not only can sustain our life but it can also supply the government of its taxation needs.
Dont you find it strange that we have waters all around us yet we pay for water? It is great baloney of our government and equally strange why Filipinoes let these scam to happen. In the past during Marcos time the government provides free supply of water to people, now public water is doubtful if it still drinkable. The government primary role is to provide the basic necessities and infrastructure so people can do their enterprise with ease and success.
Of all the past president after President Marcos, none have decisive and serious drive to boost our agriculture and marine life for the benefits of the people. It is life sustaining life hence during the period people are busy doing their share in building their life and in so doing building the nation while the government provides the basic necessities of water, peace and order. Where we do not worry about someone will rape and kill our daughters and sisters. Where we feel and trully assured of safety anytime of the day. Madam Imelda Marcos .aka. Apo Florencia is so true and visionary when she said that it is not the opulence nor the wealth that will make people happy but rather Peace and Order. An environment where anyone can do his activities within the boundary of law without fear or worries.
Only life sustains life.
Today, there is great disconnect with what the universities are offering to our young people. They are offering degree courses which are indeed useful overseas and not applicable in our country. The universities are geared of building and helping the other nation than our beloved Philippines. Hence we remain poor, we remain underdeveloped for our graduates with high caliber and talent were made to serve the other country and not ours.
And look to what more the government did, the mountains and seas of the Philippines were given to the foreigner to exploit and get wealthy out of it. The government gives to the Chinese the right to mine our own minerals and iron, as well as gold and other precious stones/gems for a very very small price which they have pocketed. They are raping our natural resources which intentionally given by God for our own use and benefits.
Our universities do not provide enough Filipino entrepreneurs rather they produce Filipino maidservants and employees never they made employers. We are still colonially chained. Filipinoes are still trapped in servant attitude rather than becoming masters and leaders in their chosen field. It is heart rending to know that Filipino great minds are working under a feeble useless employer or manager whose only advantage is having money or influence. God bless the Filipinoes.
I just hope and pray that we restore a government who sustains life by life. Universities who will produce graduates that are equipped with leadership and master skills and knowledge in the field of agriculture, marine, environment and the like. The Philippines is for the Filipinoes. All its resources are for the use of the Filipinoes.
Only life sustains life. When we grow life we reap life, we sustain life, we live.
